Caroline Loveys graduated from the Swansea Institute in 1994
with an HND in Architectural Stained Glass, recognised as
being the best course of its kind in the UK. Since then she
has run her own business as a professional stained glass artist,
working in her well equipped studio.
Caroline has designed and made a wide range of windows which
include single panels for private houses to a set of five
large commemorative windows for a church in Wales. She also
exhibits her range of decorative gift items at Craft and Design
Shows.
Caroline treats stained glass creation as a collaborative
event during which customers are able to realise their own
vision. The design process begins with the clients' own ideas,
which Caroline then develops using her extensive knowledge of
the medium. Visualisations are presented for discussion before
the finished piece is made using a variety of glass
techniques, including Caroline's specialist area of kiln fired
glass painting. Over the years she has developed her own
distinctive style, examples of which are found in these pages.
